She had just βΉ3,000. Today, she’s creating livelihoods.
For years, Rinku Kumari from Manik Bigha village, Gayaji, Bihar, watched her family’s income depend on her husband’s seasonal migration. She wanted to contribute, but with little money, no business experience and social barriers, entrepreneurship seemed out of reach.
Everything changed after she met SSP’s Super Sakhi during a community meeting in 2024.
With just βΉ3,000 and continuous mentoring from
#SwayamShikshanPrayog (SSP), Rinku learned business skills, soap making, jewellery crafting and clean energy entrepreneurship. What began as a small home-based enterprise soon became a reliable source of income.
Today, Rinku earns βΉ20,000β22,000 a month through clean energy products, handmade soaps and jewellery. As her business grew, she created employment for another woman in her village.
For Rinku, the biggest transformation isn’t just financial. It is the confidence to dream bigger and inspire others to do the same.
“I started with just βΉ3,000 and many doubts. SSP gave me the confidence to move forward. Today, I earn with pride and encourage other women to believe in themselves.” – Rinku Kumari
A small beginning gave one woman confidence. Today, that confidence is creating opportunities for others.
