A few years ago, recurring pest attacks, wildlife damage, and neglected farmland made farming increasingly difficult. Through the LIC HFL HRIDAY Project implemented by Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP), Sakeena adopted Women-Led Climate Resilient Farming (WCRF) practices and began restoring her land.

Today, she cultivates more than 20 varieties of vegetables using organic methods, improving soil health, reducing cultivation costs, and strengthening her family’s food security. Her journey has also inspired more than 25 women in her community to take up sustainable farming.

“When I learned to care for my land naturally, I realised my farm could once again support my family and inspire others.”
