Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP) has been awarded a grant for the period 1^st August 2022 to 31^st July 2024 with activity title “Scaling up access to innovative energy-efficient solutions for rural populations in India through a women led micro-entrepreneurship model in 500 villages across Maharashtra and Bihar for the period of August 2022 to July 2024” for the project title “South Asia Regional Energy Partnership (SAREP)” through grant administrator Research Triangle Institute (RTI).

Project Goal: Build a low carbon and inclusive rural economy by introducing, driving adoption and regular usage of low-cost, energy efficient, innovative solutions througha network of last mile women entrepreneurs.

Based on the requirement of the assignment, the consultant would be appointed as Knowledge Partner for the 2 year project. Key components of the assignment would be:

1. Learning and Evaluation Design up to the first Insights Report
2. Project Management Support and Midline Insights Report
3. Project Management Support and Second Insights Report
4. Rulebook on Lessons Learnt from the project
5. Support in dissemination of Lessons learnt through global workshop

The consultant is expected to deliver the following during the agreement period: Learning and Evaluation Design

• Project Management Support
• Knowledge Management Support
• Documentation of Insights Reports
• Rulebook on Lessons Learnt from the project
• Support in dissemination of Lessons learnt through global workshop

Contract Period: 1 Paragraph

CONTRACT PERIOD for the consultancy will be for 24 months from August 2022 to July 2024 and at the sole discretion of Swayam Shikshan Prayog management targeted during the project period. Contract will be governed by standard terms of service contracts of the organization. And will be shared with shortlisted candidates upon request.

Qualification & Experience: 1 Paragraph

1. Consultant / Agency must have enough qualification in providing technical services in local economic development /gender issues
2. Consultant / Agency must have minimum 5 years of experience, (and expert team) with demonstrated track record of keen interest in similar assignments.

Remuneration: 1 Paragraph

REMUNERATION will be on par with the norms in Social sector. Interested candidates are expected to make a financial offer of their minimum expectation.

Selection Process A shortlist of maximum three consultants will be established based on expressions of interest. The shortlist will be evaluated on the following criteria on the basis of their updated resume, financial offer and their reference check by Swayam Shikshan Prayog:

• Academic qualifications
• Years of project management and relevant economic development /sector experience
• Experience in working with international organizations and Govt
• Language proficiency (English).

Preference will be given to candidates having successfully handled similar assignment. Weightage will also be given to candidates with whom Swayam Shikshan Prayog had prior satisfactory association.

Final selection will be by a Management Committee of Swayam Shikshan Prayog, who may telephonically interview the shortlisted candidates and the decision of the Committee will be final and binding.
