Advertisement for Vendor Identification Supply, Installation, Training and Maintenance of 50 Biogas Systems in Trimbakeshwar Block, Nashik District

Invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) :

Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified and experienced vendors for the supply, installation, commissioning, training, and maintenance of 50 household biogas systems across 10 villages in Trimbakeshwar Block, Nashik District, Maharashtra.

This initiative is being implemented with the support of Kind Care Foundation (Mankind Pharma) as part of a rural development and clean energy program aimed at promoting sustainable livelihoods, reducing dependence on firewood, improving household health, and empowering women entrepreneurs.

About Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP) :

Founded in 1998, Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP) is a nationally recognized grassroots organization working across seven states in India. SSP focuses on women’s empowerment and community-led development through Climate Resilient Agriculture, Clean Energy, Water Security, Health & Nutrition, and Women’s Entrepreneurship initiatives. SSP has reached more than 6 million people across 3,274 villages in 30 districts.

Project Background :

In partnership with Kind Care Foundation, SSP is implementing an integrated village development project in 10 villages of Trimbakeshwar Block. Under this initiative, 50 household biogas systems will be installed to provide clean cooking fuel, reduce carbon emissions, improve sanitation, and strengthen rural livelihoods. The project also aims to build local capacities by training women entrepreneurs in biogas operation, maintenance, and promotion.

Scope of Work :

The selected vendor shall be responsible for:

  1. Supply and Installation :
    • Supply of 50 biogas systems suitable for households owning 3–4 cattle/buffaloes.
    • Transportation of materials to project villages.
    • Installation, testing, and commissioning of all units.
    • Demonstration of proper functioning to beneficiary households.
  2. Training and Capacity Building :
    • Training local women entrepreneurs and beneficiaries on:
      1. Operation of biogas systems
      2. Routine maintenance Safety measures
      3. Troubleshooting techniques
      4. Promotion of biogas technology in villages
  3. Maintenance and Technical Support :
    • Provide after-sales service and technical support.
    • Conduct periodic maintenance visits.
    • Address complaints and system failures within a reasonable timeframe.

Deliverables :

The vendor shall provide:

  • 50 fully functional biogas systems.
  • Installation and commissioning reports.
  • User manuals in Marathi and English.
  • Training materials and attendance records.
  • Warranty certificates.
  • Maintenance and service schedule.
  • Completion report with photographs and geo-tagged documentation.

Branding and Visibility :

The selected vendor shall ensure visibility of project partners through:

  • Branding stickers/plates on all installed biogas units.
  • Display of logos of:
    1. Kind Care Foundation (Mankind Pharma)
    2. Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP)
  • Installation of village-level project signboards at designated locations.
  • Submission of installation photographs for project documentation.

Eligibility Criteria :

Interested vendors must have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in biogas system installation.
  • Experience in rural development, renewable energy, or community-based projects.
  • Valid GST, PAN, and business registration.
  • Proven track record of successful project implementation.
  • Capacity to provide maintenance and after-sales service in Maharashtra.

Preference will be given to vendors with previous experience working with NGOs, CSR projects, government agencies, or SSP.

Selection Criteria :

Proposals will be evaluated based on:

  • Technical expertise and experience.
  • Quality and durability of proposed systems.
  • Training and maintenance support plan.
  • Financial competitiveness.
  • References from previous projects.

Shortlisted vendors may be invited for discussions and technical presentations.
