Need :

Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP) seeks a qualified vendor to supply, install, and commission 50 solar street lights across 10 villages in Trimbakeshwar block (5 units per village). This initiative aims to enhance safety, improve public infrastructure, and promote sustainable energy use in rural communities. Each solar street light unit should include high-efficiency solar panels, a durable battery system, and automatic dusk-to-dawn operation within specified parameters.

About The Project

Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP), in collaboration with Mankind Pharma, is undertaking a comprehensive development project aimed at enhancing the quality of life in 10 villages within the Trimbakeshwar block. In many rural areas, inadequate street lighting compromises safety and limits community activities after dark. By installing solar street lights, this project addresses these challenges by providing reliable, sustainable lighting solutions that reduce reliance on grid electricity and support community well-being.

Assignment in Brief

Supply, install, and commission 50 solar street lights across 10 villages (5 in each village), focusing on sustainable energy solutions that will directly benefit the local communities.

Outputs and Deliverables
  1. Supply and Installation:
    • 50 solar street light units, each equipped with:
      1. High-efficiency solar panels
      2. Long-life batteries
      3. Automatic dusk-to-dawn operation
  2. Training and Support:
    • Local training for operators and maintenance staff
    • Manuals/guidelines in local languages
  3. Quality Assurance:
    • Compliance with national/international quality standards
    • Certification documents to be submitted
    • Minimum 5-year warranty and vendor to handle maintenance during this period
  4. Delivery and Installation Timeline:
    • Must adhere to mutually agreed timelines
  5. Payment Terms:
    • 30% on contract signing
    • 30% on delivery
    • 30% on successful installation
    • 10% after 3 months of satisfactory performance
  6. Confidentiality and Liability:
    • Maintain confidentiality
    • Indemnify SSP against all liabilities arising from equipment or vendor action
    • 30-day notice required for termination; force majeure clauses apply

Contract Period

Up to March 2026, with possible extension based on performance and project needs.

Qualification & Experience

We are looking for reliable and experienced vendors with:

  1. Proven Expertise:
    • At least 5 years in solar lighting installation, with experience in rural projects
  2. Product Reliability:
    • Strong commitment to quality and durable infrastructure
  3. Sustainability Commitment:
    • Alignment with SSP’s mission to reduce carbon emissions and promote renewable energy

Selection Process

Shortlisting up to three vendors based on:

  • Experience in similar rural projects
  • Quality and sustainability of proposed products
  • Cost-effectiveness and value for money

Preference will be given to vendors with successful prior partnerships with SSP. Final selection will be made by SSP’s Management Committee. Shortlisted vendors may be invited for telephonic discussions. Only shortlisted vendors will be contacted.
