About The Project:

Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP), in collaboration with Mankind Pharma, is undertaking a comprehensive development project aimed at enhancing the quality of life in 10 villages within the Trimbakeshwar block. In many rural areas, inadequate street lighting compromises safety and limits community activities after dark. By installing solar street lights, this project aims to address these challenges, providing reliable, sustainable lighting solutions that reduce reliance on grid electricity and enhance village life.

Assignment in Brief:

Supply, install, and commission 200 solar street lights across 10 villages in Trimbakeshwar block, focusing on sustainable energy solutions that will benefit the local communities.

Outputs and Deliverables:
  • Supply & Installation:
    • 200 solar street light units, each equipped with high-efficiency solar panels, batteries, and automatic operation.
  • Training & Support:
    • Training for local operators and maintenance staff on the operation and upkeep of the lights.
    • Comprehensive manuals and guidelines for operation and maintenance in local languages.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Equipment must meet national and international standards, with certifications provided.
    • Minimum 5-year warranty with responsibility for maintenance during the warranty period.
  • Delivery and Installation Timeline:
    • Timely delivery & installation as per the agreed schedule.
  • Payment Terms:
    • 30% on contract signing, 30% on delivery, 30% on installation, and 10% post 3-month successful operation.
  • Confidentiality & Liability:
    • Maintain confidentiality and indemnify against liabilities arising from equipment or actions.
    • 30-day notice for termination; force majeure provisions apply.

Contract Period:

The contract period for the project will run until March 2026, with potential extensions based on project needs and SSP management’s discretion.

Qualification & Experience:

We seek reliable and innovative vendors specializing in solar lighting solutions with:

  • Proven Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar installations with a demonstrated track record in similar assignments.
  • Quality Assurance: Commitment to delivering durable and reliable products.
  • Sustainability Focus: Alignment with SSP’s mission to promote renewable energy and reduce carbon emissions.

Selection Process:

A shortlist of up to three vendors will be established based on expressions of interest. Evaluation criteria will include:

  • Proven Expertise: Success in similar projects.
  • Quality Assurance and Sustainability: Commitment to quality and sustainability.
  • Cost-Effectiveness: Financial offers that provide the best value for money.

Preference will be given to vendors with successful prior associations with SSP. The final selection will be made by SSP’s Management Committee, with possible telephonic interviews for shortlisted candidates. Only those shortlisted will be contacted.
