Moving from decline to progress
Dwarika Jadhav of Latur, was married off at an early age with lots of hope for a bright future. Though her husband was running a grocery shop, unfortunately the shop had to be shut down as it was running in loss. Arranging two meals a day was also a struggle for them. They owned a small piece of land but lack of farming knowledge stopped them from earning a good income.
All it took was one entrepreneurship training for Dwarika to understand her true potential. Following the training, she started off her dairy business with a loan of INR 1,00,000 that she had taken from a SHG. Once her dairy business took off, she also took initiative to learn organic farming & improved the productivity of their family land.
Today, Dwarika and her husband are equal contributors in their family and earning INR15,000/month. “It is a proud moment for us and we are able to look for a brighter future”, says Dwaraka Jadhav with a smiling face.
