Women entrepreneurs living in rural villages are usually faced with the challenge of finding better markets and finance to grow their businesses.
It was a formidable display supported by the district administration with over 100 stalls loaded with healthy organic snacks and sweets, prepared traditionally for the upcoming festival of Diwali. This exhibition was viewed as an opportunity to enter the food value chain and establish a diverse customer-base. It was a space to exchange ideas and learn on enterprise, on packaging, branding and labelling too.
“We really enjoyed the experience and I am proud and plan to travel to exhibit our unit’s products in new cities !” says Sadhana Deshmukh, a successful, serial entrepreneur & SSP mentor from Murud village.
