Supply, Installation, and Training for 50 Biogas Systems – Trimbakeshwar Block

Need :

Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP) invites expressions of interest from qualified vendors for the supply, installation, and commissioning of 50 biogas systems across 10 villages (5 systems per village) in Trimbakeshwar Block, Nashik District. These systems are intended for rural households owning 3 to 4 animals. The initiative supports clean energy adoption, reduces dependence on firewood, and empowers local women entrepreneurs through capacity-building and enterprise development. Vendors must also ensure technical support and after-sales service.

About the Project:

In partnership with Mankind Pharma, SSP is implementing a holistic development project in Trimbakeshwar Block. As part of this effort, 50 biogas units will be installed in 10 villages (5 per village), providing a clean and sustainable cooking fuel alternative. This will reduce indoor air pollution, protect forests, and support rural livelihoods. Local women entrepreneurs will be trained to manage and promote biogas use within their communities.

Assignment in Brief

Vendors will:

  • Supply, install, and commission 50 biogas systems (3–4 animal capacity), covering 10 villages (5 systems per village).
  • Train selected local women in installation basics, operation, sales, and maintenance.
  • Provide manuals, maintenance guidelines, and warranty support.

Deliverables

  1. Supply and Installation
    • Biogas systems designed for rural households with 3–4 cattle or buffaloes.
    • Installation and commissioning in 10 selected villages of Trimbakeshwar.
  2. Capacity Building and Support
    • On-site training for women entrepreneurs in system use, upkeep, and community outreach.
    • User-friendly manuals in Marathi or local dialects.
    • Ongoing support and troubleshooting services post-installation.
  3. Quality and Warranty
    • Systems must adhere to national/international quality standards.
    • Minimum 5-year warranty covering free maintenance and servicing.
  4. Timeline
    • Timely delivery and installation per agreed schedule.
  5. Payment Terms
    • 50% upon signing agreement
    • 25% on delivery of systems
    • 25% after successful installation
  6. Confidentiality and Liability
    • Vendors are expected to maintain confidentiality and indemnify SSP from liabilities.
    • Standard 30-day termination clause and force majeure conditions apply.

Contract Duration

From contract signing through March 2026, with possible extension based on project needs and performance.

Vendor Eligibility

  • At least 5 years of experience in biogas system installation and rural projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and engage women and local communities.
  • Strong commitment to product quality and sustainability.
  • Vendors with past collaboration with SSP will receive preference.

Selection Process

  • Up to three vendors will be shortlisted based on EOI.
  • Final selection by SSP’s Management Committee.
  • Shortlisted vendors may be interviewed telephonically.
