Hiring Consultant For Conducting Impact Study Of The Projects On Enhancing Water Resources

Project In Brief :

The project intends to reach out marginal women farmers across the villages of 2 blocks in Latur and Osmanabad to construct 100 Water ponds and 100 soak pits and train them and provide support, along with educating them on water efficient cropping and water budgeting.

Need :

SSP is implementing 2 longitudinal projects for CSR donors, and learning more about the project execution process, impact created will be crucial for future project, which has led to plan Impact study of the said project. In this regard SSP is currently looking for a consultant/External Agency who can support the SSP team in Conducting Impact study in terms of analyzing processes and systems, involved in project implementation, track impact (qualitative as well as quantitative). The Consultant would work with the Director Programs & Program Manager to conduct impact study related activities.

Assignment In Brief

Key components of the project would be:

Develop Data collection tools, Interview tools and tests based on project outcomes.

To conduct research / Data collection through field visit, conducting meetings with various stakeholders to understand the project impact effectiveness focusing project activities and outcome indicators.

To analyze data collected, and create extensive Impact reports with suggestions.

Outputs And Deliverables:

Impact Report on overall processes and project impact of the Entrepreneurship programs as well as the water project of Swayam Shikshan Prayog.

Contract Period

CONTRACT PERIOD for the consultancy will be for 2 months and at the sole discretion of Swayam Shikshan Prayog management targeted starting date is 20th March 2022. Contract will be governed by standard terms of service contracts of the organization. And will be shared with shortlisted candidates upon request.

Qualification & Experience

Consultant / Agency Must have prior experience in conducting Impact study in rural set up.

Consultant / Agency Must have experienced and expert team to conduct the impact study.

Remuneration

The budget for conducting Impact study is 1.10 Lakhs including all the expenses and taxes for the period of two months.

Selection Process

A shortlist of maximum three consultants/Agencies will be established based on expressions of interest. The shortlist will be evaluated on the following criteria on the basis of their updated resume, financial offer and their reference check by Swayam Shikshan Prayog:

Academic qualificationsExperience in working with international organizations and Govt.

Language proficiency (English, Hindi).

Organization credibility and team profile

Language proficiency (English, Hindi).

Preference will be given to candidates having successfully handled similar assignment. Weightage will also be given to candidates with whom Swayam Shikshan Prayog had prior satisfactory association.

Final selection will be by a Management Committee of Swayam Shikshan Prayog, who may telephonically interview the shortlisted candidates and decision of the Committee will be final and binding.
