Intelligent and dynamic Program Manager Job Description : Key Responsibilities for this position include Facilitating and Monitoring result oriented implementation of assigned projects. Qualification & Experience :

Post Graduation degree with first class in relevant field from a well known Institution with keen interest in social development. Minimum 3 years relevant experience. Candidate must possess ability to coordinate with field teams, ability to interpret data & prepare meaningful, actionable reports & must possess above average command on spoken & written English. Selection Process :

A shortlist of maximum three consultants will be established based on expressions of interest. He/she will be responsible for:

  • Coordinate day to day activities of the program and support Program.
    Manager in day to day operations for the assigned geography
  • Train local stakeholders on their roles; coordinate and participate in inter-section activities.
  • Supervise and provide guidance, support and direction to village level associates (Sakhi/Leader/ CRPs) to ensure quality and timely delivery of the planned program activities in the field.
  • Collect data, records and review monthly reports from the field and support in the
    development of quality program reports including donor reports.
  • Undertake regular field visits to assess on ground progress. Provide administrative and logistic support required for conducting the training, workshops or meetings. Track, verify and maintain program records and data. Support to co-facilitate training sessions and workshops.
  • Liaise with other rural institutions such as Gram Panchayat, CHC, PHC and other ground partners;
  • Coordinate with other NGOs / CBOs for the field implementation of Enrich related activities for support and networking.
  • Selection of Women Micro‐entrepreneurs in existing network in the assigned geography Maharashtra and Bihar.
  • Block level awareness, training and product demonstrations to Sakhis and Super Sakhis. facilitate and oversee village level Trainings and Demonstrations for driving adoption, and regular usage of innovative energy
  • Marketing, promotions and product demonstrations in target villages.
  • Product sales, installation and commissioning facilitated by Sakhis.
  • After sales training, handholding and nudges for repeated use of energy efficient products.
  • Outreach and awareness campaigns conducted at village level
  • Trainings and Demonstrations for driving adoption, and regular usage of innovative energy efficient solutions among the target households.

Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP) is an NGO based in Pune, Maharashtra

SSP empowers grassroots women’s collectives to move from “Margin to Mainstream”. SSP is an organization aiming to empower the women in under developed areas as entrepreneurs, community leaders and change-makers thus promoting sustainable community development. Our work, by choice, is centred around low income climate threatened communities spread across more than 2,000 villages in 30 climate-threatened rural districts in 7 States in India including Latur, Osmanabad, Solapur, Nanded, Jalna, Ahmednagar and Aurangabad districts in Maharashtra. In the last 8 years, SSP’s interventions have spawned over 300,000 rural women entrepreneurs, farmers and business leaders, who have in turn impacted over six million people. 

Vacancy:  MIS Manager at Swayam Shikshan Prayog
Location: He/she will be located at or reporting to the organization’s Head Office at Pune. Travel to SSP’s field areas is essential whenever required to complete your tasks in the organisation.
Assignment in Brief: In order to consolidate, manage and disseminate information to different stakeholders and also for internal reference SSP will be strengthened its digital data capture from paper based data flow.

  • To ensure capacity of digital data capture and is built across the organization on regular basis to keep pace with technical development
  • Oversee and manage systematic and regular data flow
  • To source and incorporate suitable tools to ensure data accuracy
  • To build suitable dashboards at project level, location level and institutional level to facilitate effective project management
  • To set up necessary systems for data security data archiving data backup.
  • To take the responsibilities of fulfilling the donor’s needs assessment and proposal requirements, and post proposal sanction statistical reporting and for that, and be ready to take the inputs/directions from the donor representatives.

Objectives:

  • Setting up of the Organisation level MIS system
  • Ensure capacity of digital data capture and is built across the organization


Activities:

  • Oversee and manage systematic and regular data flow
  • Source and incorporate suitable tools to ensure data accuracy
  • Build suitable dashboards at project level, location level and institutional level
  • Set up necessary systems for data security, data archiving data backup
  • Internal trainings to the internal teams to improve their data capture capacities
  • Develop user friendly systems for easy access and usage on field

Required qualifications and experiences for the role:

  • Suitable qualification in IT and experience having handled similar assignment
  • Those who Worked in the development sector for at least 5-7 years on women’s issues and livelihoods projects in the rural areas will be given preference

  • Should speak in the local languages (Marathi and Hindi)

The shortlist will be evaluated on the following criteria on the basis of their updated resume, financial offer and their reference check by Swayam Shikshan Prayog:
  • Academic qualifications
  • Years of project management and relevant economic development /sector experience
  • Experience in working with international organizations and Govt
  • Language proficiency (English).
Preference will be given to candidates having successfully handled similar assignment. Weightage will also be given to candidates with whom Swayam Shikshan Prayog had prior satisfactory association. Final selection will be by a Management Committee of Swayam Shikshan Prayog, who may telephonically interview the shortlisted candidates and the decision of the Committee will be final and binding. Only shortlisted candidates shall be contacted. In case your profile does not match with the aforementioned requirements, your application will be eliminated at preliminary scrutiny stage and Swayam Shikshan Prayog is  not obliged to send any communication in that regard and will not entertain any follow-ups in that regard.
