Need:

Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP) seeks a qualified vendor to supply, install, and commission biogas systems for households with 3 to 4 animals in Trimbakeshwar block. This initiative aims to promote sustainable energy use, reduce reliance on traditional fuels, and empower local women entrepreneurs through training and capacity-building initiatives. The vendor should also offer ongoing technical support and after-sales service to ensure the successful operation of the biogas systems.

Established in 1998, Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP) has evolved into a leader in rural development, empowering women and communities across seven Indian states. SSP focuses on Climate Resilient Farming, Clean Energy, Water and Sanitation, Health and Nutrition, and Women’s Entrepreneurship. SSP has impacted over 6 million people in 3,274 villages across 30 districts.

About The Project:

In collaboration with Mankind Pharma, SSP is implementing a comprehensive development project in Trimbakeshwar block. The project aims to enhance the quality of life by providing clean energy solutions, particularly through biogas systems, which will help reduce deforestation, improve indoor air quality, and provide an eco-friendly energy source for cooking. By training local women entrepreneurs to sell and maintain these systems, the project will also promote economic empowerment and sustainability.

Assignment in Brief:

Supply, install, and commission biogas systems suitable for households with 3 to 4 animals, and provide training to local women entrepreneurs on sales, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Outputs and Deliverables:

Supply and Installation:
- Biogas systems designed for 3 to 4 animals per household.
- Comprehensive installation across targeted villages in Trimbakeshwar block.
Training and Support:
- Conduct training sessions for local women entrepreneurs on the operation, maintenance, and promotion of biogas systems.
- Provide detailed manuals and guidelines in local languages.
- Offer ongoing technical support and after-sales service.
Quality Assurance:
- Equipment must meet national and international standards, with necessary certifications.
- Minimum 5-year warranty with responsibility for maintenance during the warranty period.
Delivery and Installation Timeline:
- Timely delivery and installation as per the agreed schedule.
Payment Terms:
- 50% on contract signing, 25% on delivery, 25% on installation
Confidentiality and Liability:
- Maintain confidentiality and indemnify against liabilities arising from equipment or actions.
- 30-day notice for termination; force majeure provisions apply.

Contract Period:

The contract period for the project will run until March 2026, with potential extensions based on project needs and SSP management’s discretion.

Qualification & Experience:

We seek reliable and innovative vendors specializing in biogas systems with:

Proven Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in biogas system installations with a demonstrated track record in similar assignments.
Quality Assurance: Commitment to delivering durable and reliable products.
Sustainability Focus: Alignment with SSP’s mission to promote renewable energy and reduce carbon emissions.

Selection Process:

A shortlist of up to three vendors will be established based on expressions of interest. Evaluation criteria will include:

Proven Expertise: Success in similar projects.
Quality Assurance and Sustainability: Commitment to quality and sustainability.
Cost-Effectiveness: Financial offers that provide the best value for money.

Preference will be given to vendors with successful prior associations with SSP. The final selection will be made by SSP’s Management Committee, with possible telephonic interviews for shortlisted candidates. Only those shortlisted will be contacted.
