Hiring a Consultant or Consulting Firm for Developing and Implementing an Organizational Communications Strategy at Swayam Shikshan Prayog

Project Name: Developing and Implementing an Organisational Communications Strategy.

Need:

Swayam Shikshan Prayog is looking forward to hiring a Consultant or Consultancy firm for Developing and Implementing an Organisational Communications Strategy over the next six months.

Objectives:

  • Develop and implement an organisation-wide communications strategy with the support of a communication professional (consultant or firm) that improves engagement with donors, supporters, beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
  • Build a capable communications team within the organisation, with the capacity to promote the impact of SSP’s work through various communications mediums.
  • Adoption of improved resource mobilisation practices by the organisation.
  • Greater engagement with like-minded organisations for sustained policy advocacy through implementation of the communications strategy.

Assignment in Brief:

  • Engage a qualified communications consultant and develop a coherent communications strategy and plan for SSP through participatory methods.
  • Develop a robust monitoring and evaluation method for SSP’s communications plan implementation. This process will feed into the communications strategy that will undergo regular review and updates as per feedback from audience and staff.
  • Conduct a orientation session with SSP’s staff on the communications strategy, roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop the capacities of an in-house communications team to facilitate and monitor implementation of the communications plan.
  • Continuous creation of communications content for various media platforms by Consultant and SSP’s communications team to reach out to various stakeholders. This includes social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X/Twitter, YouTube), emails, website, brochures, newsletter, annual reports etc.
  • Workshops (once-a-month) with the SSP staff on status, feedback and updates on implementation of the communications plan and use of social media platforms.

Contract Period:

Contract period for the agency will be for a period of six months starting from 01st August, 2024 or until the completion of the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation supported project, on terms and conditions agreed mutually. The Contract will be governed by standard terms of service contracts of Swayam Shikshan Prayog and will be shared with shortlisted applicants upon request.

Qualification & Experience:

The agency must have prior experience in Developing and Implementing an Organisational Communications Strategy.

Selection Process:

A shortlist of a maximum of three agencies will be established based on expressions of interest. The shortlist will be evaluated on the following criteria based on their updated resume, financial offer and their reference check by Swayam Shikshan Prayog:

  • Experience in working on similar projects.
  • Language proficiency (English, Hindi, Marathi).
  • Organisation credibility and team profile.

Preference will be given to Agencies having successfully handled similar assignments. Weightage will also be given to Agencies with whom Swayam Shikshan Prayog had a prior satisfactory association.

The final selection will be by a Management Committee of Swayam Shikshan Prayog, who may telephonically interview the shortlisted candidates and the decision of the Committee will be final and binding.

Only the shortlisted Agency shall be contacted. In case your profile does not match the aforementioned requirements, your application will be eliminated at the preliminary scrutiny stage and Swayam Shikshan Prayog is not obliged to send any communication in that regard and will not entertain any follow-ups in that regard.
