Project Overview :

Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP), supported by SBI Foundation, is conducting a comprehensive project to enhance the income of 4000 women small and marginal farmers by strengthening 4 Farmer Producer Companies with 4 exclusive retail sales outlets and 50 selling agents for Direct to Customer (D2C) channels. Over a span of 3 years, this project will enhance socio-economic well-being of the society to uplift rural communities by enhancing their livelihoods.

Scope of Work:

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Consultant will play a pivotal role in assessing and ensuring the project’s success. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing an M&E Framework:
    • Design and implement tools, indicators, and methodologies to track the project’s progress.
    • Establish baseline, mid-term, and end-line evaluation frameworks.
  2. Data Collection and Analysis:
    • Conduct field visits to Latur, Dharashiv, Kalamb, and Tuljapur to collect quantitative and qualitative data.
    • Analyse data to measure project outcomes against defined KPIs.
  3. Performance Monitoring:
    • Track the performance of the Farmer Producer Companies, retail outlets, and selling agents.
    • Monitor the economic and social impact on women farmers and their households.
  4. Reporting:
    • Prepare periodic reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) detailing progress, challenges, and recommendations.
    • Provide evidence-based insights for project improvements.
  5. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
    • Document success stories, case studies, and lessons learned.
    • Assist in dissemination efforts for project outcomes.
Submission Requirements:

Applicants must submit the following documents- A detailed Background, expertise, and experience in conducting similar studies, especially in rural development.

  • A technical proposal outlining the approach to M&E for the project.
  • Financial proposal with expected consultancy fees.
  • References: Case studies or references from previous projects involving similar work.
Selection Criteria: Proposals will be evaluated based on the following:
  • Expertise: Experience in Monitoring and evaluation of 5 to 10 years on similar kind of projects and working with rural communities.
  • Research Plan Quality: Clear and effective research methodology and approach.
  • Cost-Effectiveness: Competitive pricing while maintaining quality.
  • Implementation Capability: Ability to deliver within project timelines and provide in-depth analysis.
