SSP’s interventions has empowered 350,000+ rural women community leaders, entrepreneurs, farmers and young girls, who have in turn impacted the lives of six million+ people across 2,300+ villages in over 30 climate-threatened rural districts in eight states in India. He/she will be located in Pune, Maharashtra. Travel to SSP’s district offices and field areas is essential whenever required to complete your tasks in the organization.

Key Responsibility Areas are:

1. Communication Strategy:
  • Design, develop and implement organization-wise communication strategies to that improves engagement with donors, supporters, beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate, systemize and manage all SSP internal and external communication efforts.
  • Ensure consistent and effective dissemination of information across all communication channels, including social media, website, annual report, newsletters, and press releases.
2. Content Creation for Events:
  • Oversee the creation of compelling content for various communication platforms.
  • Ensure that all communication materials align with the organization’s brand and messaging guidelines.
  • Develop a standard template for field stories/case studies
  • Develop and manage a content calendar to ensure timely and relevant communications.
3. Marketing and Branding:
  • Develop marketing campaigns to promote the impact of SSP’s work through various communications channels.
  • Ensure consistent application of branding guidelines across all marketing materials.
  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
4. Media Relations:
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists, develop and maintain the database of media contacts.
  • Draft and distribute press releases and other media communications.
  • Coordinate media inquiries and interviews.
5. Event Plan and Coordination:
  • Plan and execute events, workshops, and conferences to support partnership and communication objectives.
  • Coordinate logistics, marketing, and outreach efforts for events.
6. Resource Mobilization and Partnerships:
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnership opportunities with relevant organizations and stakeholders.
  • Adoption of improved resource mobilisation practices by the organisation.
  • Represent the organization at various forums and public engagements.
  • Greater engagement with like-minded organisations for sustained policy advocacy through implementation of the communications strategy.
7. Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnership and communication initiatives.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on partnership and communication activities and outcomes
  • Use data and feedback to continuously improve strategies and approaches.

Required Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

2. Proven experience upto 8 years in partnership development, communications, and public relations.

3. Strong understanding of communication strategies and tools.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

5. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

6. Proficient in using digital communication tools and social media platforms.

7. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

8. Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative communication and partnership solutions.

9. Strong analytical skills to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and partnership outcomes.

10. High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
