Lalita dared to overcome destiny through Education & Empowerment.

Women in Osmanabad are taking over the fate of their families and standing up for themselves. Lalita Vidyasagar from Helamb Taluk, Deoni is one such woman. With a family of 7 to feed and no land in their name, Lalita was eager to start some business but lacked market knowledge.

She studied till 12th but was married soon after, but to sustain her family, both husband and wife did odd jobs to sustain the family, until she was approached by Priyanka tai from Swayam Shikshan Prayog.

Lalita received her basic entrepreneurship training and Health training as arogya sakhi in 2018. Even during pandemic, lalita didn’t stay low. With the knowledge and taking loan of Rs 50,000, she set up a grocery store in April. Now the family earns Rs 25k per month through the business.
