“Haqdarshak technology helps rural women to access government schemes & resources more easily”

“We never used to get to know what schemes were available & who could avail the benefits. But with this Haqdarshak app there has been great transparency to know about the government scheme. It also helps the most needy to access these schemes at the right time.” Pushpa Kalkekar, Derla village, Nanded district of Maharashtra.

We were often deprived of the benefits of social security that are rightfully ours. Without proper knowledge & awareness about the existing schemes, the majority of the resources were returned back to the government unutilized. To address this issue, Swayam Shikshan Prayog along with Haqdarshak has trained 31 women leaders across 30 villages in Nanded district of Maharashtra as ‘Haqdarshikas.’

These leaders were provided digital literacy on how to use the Haqdarshak App to know about the current and upcoming government schemes and how to access and avail the benefits of those schemes.

“My son got his arm fractured and the doctor said it has to be operated on and would cost nearly INR 50 – 60,000 (670 – 800 USD). We were worried, where to get this huge amount of money from. Then we found through the Haqdarshak, we can get this operation done under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Public Health Scheme for free of cost.”

“We immediately applied for this and within two days got his operation done. The Haqdarshak training has saved our INR 50-60,000 (670 – 800 USD) and also helped us to avail these schemes through the Haqdarshak app.” Says Pushpa Kalkekar, a trained Haqdarshak leader.

When women are provided opportunities to learn new knowledge and technology, they make best use of it to help themselves and their communities. With this Haqdarshak technology rural women can now reach out and access government schemes and resources more easily.
